The fabulous thing about Pinterest is the twisty little paths it leads you down.

Often, I see one pin that I adore, which brings me to another adorable pin, which takes me to a website I begin to fawn over and alas I am greeted with the next “pin” just dying to be shared, and in this case, the next Snappy Saturday. So, no, I did not stumble across Kurt Rahn on the board of a pinner whom I follow. Instead, I indirectly found Kurt Rahn by reading a lovely post about online art resource sites from Emily Henderson.
Yes, the Emily Von Henderson. She’s kind of cool and stuff, and she, ehh, her blog, introduced me to Society6, an online shop where beautiful art can become art of your miniature office:

Oh, look at that, another magnificent find originally pinned by Emily Henderson.
Point being that art can, and should, go everywhere, and with the help of Society6 it will because I for one cannot get enough of some of the artists who are selling their pieces on this virtual art gallery.
One of those artists is Kurt Rahn. Yup, and his photography is breathtaking.
I always knew I was a mountain-girl. Though reared on the west coast of the sunshine state and five minutes away from saltwater, something in me twinges at the thought of sand and tingles at the sight of snowcapped mountains and firs.

I can’t be the only one, can I?
I didn’t think so. And neither does Mr. Rahn. Just look at those firs and the yellowy light that he captures like probably the sun just came up, and Bambi and friends are packing up their tents celebrating another winter come and gone, clanking acorns filled with fresh maple syrup to a harmonious ‘cheers!’ for the start of a blossoming spring.
Still not the only one, right?

But they are all beautiful. What did you expect, really? The man lives in the pacific northwest, Seattle to be exact, where the scenery is so perfect there are probably laws that require citizens to capture it in any way possible. So, Kurt Rahn choose photography.
